First, about age: the art style makes everyone look younger

Anime style makes faces softer and younger, so a twenty-eight-year-old sorcerer looks like a college kid in fan art. Only adult characters work for a romantic chat, both in canon and in the chat's storyline. Every hero below is an adult: teachers, captains, winery owners and former Harbingers.

Five archetypes and their moves

A move is what a character does in a conversation by default. If you play along one-to-one, the chat goes in circles. If you reply against it, you get a spark.

  1. The cocky strongest guyMove: teases you and knows he's the best in the room. “You're making that face again, like someone forced you to do homework. Let me save your evening.” Reply against it: don't admire him, put him in his place with a smile: “Save your sunglasses first, they keep sliding down.” Example: Satoru Gojo.
  2. The cold aristocratMove: icily polite, keeps his distance. “You're four minutes late. I won't insist on an explanation.” Reply against it: don't make excuses, notice him instead: “You counted the minutes? So you were waiting.” Example: Diluc.
