Why apps are the weak spot here

To open the chat with one tap, add the site to your home screen. You get an icon just like an app's, and the page opens full screen, without the address bar.

• Android: open the site in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and choose “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.
• iPhone: open the site in Safari, tap “Share” and choose “Add to Home Screen”.

This isn't an installation: nothing gets downloaded, the site asks for no permissions, and you delete the icon like any other.

An option for people who live in Telegram

What matters more than the platform

The language model answers the same way in an app and in a browser tab. When choosing a service, look at other things:

• Language. If a service runs on machine translation, over a long chat the character slides into translation-speak. Send twenty messages in a row and watch what happens to the grammar.
• Payment. If they only take money through the app store or with a foreign card, nothing else matters.
