All the facts about SpicyChat below come from its own documentation as of late September 2026. Where a source is third-party, we say so. We run a similar service, so we write about ourselves separately, at the end.

The SpicyChat from the videos is the top plan

In reviews, a SpicyChat character talks with a voice, sends pictures, and keeps a long scene in mind. All of that is the $29.95 plan. The free tier is a noticeably different product: short replies and memory that covers a few screens of chat.

  • FreeScene memory is 4,096 tokens, replies up to 180 tokens. No images or voice. The docs don't mention a daily message limit.
  • Get A Taste: $5.95 a monthThe entry tier, $60 a year. The docs don't give detailed memory figures for it.
  • True Supporter: $19.95 a month8K memory, images from select characters. $199.95 a year. Was $14.95 before September.
  • I'm All In: $29.95 a monthUp to 32K memory, images from all characters, and unlimited voice. $299.95 a year. Was $24.95.

If you subscribed before September 8, you keep the old price. If you're thinking about taking a break, read their FAQ first: once you cancel, the old price may not come back. In rubles, at about 90 rubles to the dollar, the middle plan comes to roughly 1,800 a month and the top one about 2,700, plus the intermediary's markup.

What "4K" and "32K" mean, and why a character forgets the start of a scene, is explained simply in the article on tokens in AI models.

How to pay: four official methods

  1. Bank card. According to intermediaries, Russian cards are filtered out by the first digits of the card number. This comes from someone who works for a payment intermediary, so factor in their interest.
  2. Pay by Bank: a one-time payment through your bank, with no auto-renewal.
  3. Boosty: the subscription activates within 15 minutes. Of the official options, this is the first one to try from Russia.
  4. Crypto via CoinPayments: the subscription is activated manually, within up to six hours.

Search for "spicychat subscription" in Russian and the top spots go to resellers and intermediaries: they sell a code or pay "on your behalf," starting at a couple hundred rubles. We haven't tested these schemes and don't recommend them. If you go ahead anyway, ask the seller three things: will the subscription be on your account or will they give you someone else's, what happens if the bank reverses the payment, and how much renewal will cost in a month.

And check the address. The real site is spicychat.ai, the docs are docs.spicychat.ai. Domains with "official" in the name or in odd domain zones have nothing to do with the service.

"SpicyChat isn't working": five different problems

  1. Endless loadingThe site sits behind Cloudflare, and some internet providers have trouble with its addresses. As tested in late September 2026, the site opened on every home and mobile network checked in Russia, so the outages seem to be isolated. You won't find workaround instructions here.
  2. The iPhone app disappearedIt's not a glitch: Apple removed the app from the App Store, and access through it ended in September 2025. What's left is the site in a browser.
  3. Not on Google PlayThe official Android app is downloaded as a file from their website, not from the store.
  4. The character forgot what happened ten minutes agoThe free 4,096 tokens have to fit both the character description and the chat. A long scene simply runs past the edge of memory. That's by design, and only a higher plan fixes it. More in the article on AI character memory.
  5. It replies in English, or in clumsy RussianThe interface is in English and only partly translated. Russian is handled by certain multilingual models, and the docs only promise they "should do decently." You couldn't call it native.

A quick word on "hacked SpicyChat with premium": your subscription and balance are stored on the server, so a mod on your phone won't unlock them, but it can steal your data. Details in the breakdown of hacked versions of AI chats.

Checklist before you pay

  • Open the site on the same internet connection you'll be chatting on, and spend at least half an hour in the free chat.
  • Find a model that replies in Russian and test it on a long scene.
  • Decide whether you need voice. If you do, that's the $29.95 plan only.
  • If you want images from your favorite character on the middle plan, check whether they're among the "select" ones.
  • Try Boosty before any reseller.
  • Double-check the domain: spicychat.ai, no prefixes.

Where SpicyChat is stronger

  • The catalog. Bots are written by users, and third-party reviews count over 200,000 of them.
  • Memory on the top plan: 32K plus paid memory tools is a serious reserve for a very long roleplay campaign.
  • Your own bot: you can describe a character in full, in plain text, however you like.

If that's exactly what you need and you're willing to deal with the payment hassle, SpicyChat is still a solid option.

If you'd rather not pay in dollars

my-idol.ru is a Russian service in the same genre. Payment is in rubles, with no intermediaries or resellers. Characters reply in English or Russian, whichever you choose, from the first line: heroes from anime, movies, and books, plus original stories. They remember the conversation between visits and can reply with voice; more on that in the article on AI characters with voice. You can gather several characters in a group chat or create your own in the editor.

The easiest way to play a long roleplay story is with a character who has a life and a voice of their own. Dean Winchester, for example, will pull you straight into a monster hunt, and a week later he'll remember where you left off.
