In anime you can read a character at a glance: how they stay silent, how they look away, how they take a compliment. That's why your first message has to fit the type. What works on a tsundere will push a kuudere away, and what melts a big-sister type, a streamer will scroll right past. If the "deres" get you mixed up, check out dere types.
The quiet kuudere: care without pressure
A kuudere talks little and hates being poked. A long message with three questions is a surefire way to get "mm" back. What works instead: a small act of care that asks for nothing in return.
- Leave it and goShe's been stuck on a problem for three hours. You set some tea beside her and don't wait for thanks. "Tea. It'll be cold in ten minutes. I timed it."
- Be quiet togetherLate night, neither of you can sleep. One-line messages every half hour. "You're up too? You don't have to answer, I was just checking."
- Through a third partyThe neighbor's cat is meowing under the window. It becomes your excuse. "The cat came to your door again. I think it picked you."
